Subsidy Palliative: ‘Govt of Renewed Shege’ – Sowore Knocks Tinubu’s Administration

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) during the last general election, Omoyele Sowore, has called out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The human rights activist described Tinubu’s administration as a government of ‘renewed shege’.

Sowore made the remark while reacting to President Tinubu’s decision to provide palliative for vulnerable Nigerians for six months.

He took to his official Twitter page and wrote:

“The govt of #RenewedShege! So, @officialABAT is going to provide palliative of N53 per day for 6 months?

“Jokes carried too far! These guys don’t rate Nigerians! #Revolutionnow.”

Epiczone.ng understands that Tinubu had unveiled plans to transfer N8,000 to 12 million poor households in the country.

He said the money would be transferred to poor Nigeria within the next six months.

The president’s decision was contained in a letter to the House of Representatives over the 800 million dollars loan request of immediate past president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the social safety net programme.
