VIDEO: COVID-19 Patients Thank Lagos Govt, Urge Nigerians To Stay At Home
Patients of the novel Coronavirus being treated in Lagos State have recorded a video urging Nigerians to stay at home in order to prevent contracting the virus.
The message of the patients, currently in isolation at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yaba, was posted on Twitter by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, on Wednesday.
In the one-minute video, it is apparent that the patients, isolated at Ward B of the hospital are both Nigerians and foreign nationals.
The patients were seen carrying various placards inscribed with messages such as “It’s Real”, “Please Stay At Home”, and “Health Workers Also Have Families But Can’t Go Home”.
They also thanked the Lagos State government for the care they are receiving at the hospital.
