No Justice, No Lekki Tollgate Reopening – Peter Okoye

Peter Okoye, of the defunct Psquare  has reacted to the recent decision of Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry on EndSARS protest’s permission for the reopening of Lekki Tollgate by Lekki Concession Company (LCC).

It would be recalled that LCC had been asking the panel through its attorney, Rotimi Seiriki, to release the toll gate to them for repair and insurance claims since last year, December 2020.

The panel led by the retired Judge Doris Okwuobi, ruled that the plaza should be repossessed by the owner, the Lekki Concession Company. Judge Okwuobi, alongside four other members of the panel, including Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Oluwatoyin Odusanya (Director, Citizens right), Taiwo Lakanu (a DIG representing the police), and Lucas Koyejo (from the National Human Rights Commission), came to the consensus agreement that the plaza be reopened.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Peter wrote, ” If una like make una go hand over lekki tollgate to Jesus! No justice NO LCC #EndSARS #NoMoreTollGate. Make dem no think am! We will never forget what happen at that Tollgate on the 20th of October 2020 #EndSARS.”

One human right activist, Kenechukwu Okeke, however, blasted Peter Okoye for expressing his position on the reopening of the Tollgate.

Via his Twitter page, Okeke wrote, “My attention has been brought to the antics of one Mr. Peter Okoye @PeterPsquare whose shenanigan is to incite riots, and breach of public peace. One begins to wonder why a private citizen would constitute himself as being superior to a Tribunal established by law. Sanctions. Your ignorance and illiteracy stinks to the high heavens. And may such a day never come when intellectualism is traded for mediocrity. See you in court.”

In a swift response, Peter wrote, “Use that your attention and wipe that your dirty a**hole! He is taking me to a loooooooooong tennis court! That one that want to sue the whole youths of the federation.”
