Nigerians Don’t Have Right To Order Buhari Around – Femi Adesina
Femi Adesina, special adviser on media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly said Nigerians do not have the right to order the president around, though they voted to bring him to power.
Adesina said this while speaking in a programme on Nigeria Info FM on Tuesday, according to West African Reporters.
It was said that a listener, named Ibikunle, had called into the live programme, and asked Adesina to help ensure that Buhari holds a media chat to talk to Nigerians.
However, Adesina, while responding, said Buhari has done three national broadcast since coronavirus outbreak.
“What else do they want? Some people think because you elected a President, you must lead your President by the nose,” he was quoted as saying.
“The fact that you have elected a man does not mean then you begin to order him around. The President will do what is good for the country at any given time.”
