I’ve Not Shook Hands With Anybody For 49 Days – Fashola

Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing, said he has not had a handshake with any individual for 49 days as part of efforts to avoid getting infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State, revealed this in a post on Twitter on Tuesday.
While asking Nigerians on the duration of their last handshake, the minister said the non-issuance of a handshake may get to become the scenario for a while.
“49 days without a handshake. Social Distancing, the new normal. #When was your last handshake?” Fashola wrote on Twitter.
Avoidance of handshakes, regular washing of hands and social distancing are among guidelines recommended by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to combat the spread of the pandemic in the country.
