Premier League giants, Manchester United have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon to sign Portuguese star, Bruno Fernandes.
United agreed a deal worth up to £68 million with the Portuguese club, and the player is set to arrive Manchester on Wednesday evening to complete the move.
Fernandes is expected to terminate his contract with Sporting before leaving, and is expected to record a video to say goodbye to the fans.
The Portugal international will then make his way to Tires Airport, where he will board a private jet bound for Manchester.
It is expected that the 25-year-old will undergo medical at Old Trafford on Thursday morning.
After weeks of negotiations, United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, reached an agreement, which will see the club pay an initial fee of £46.56 million, plus add-ons.
Sporting will receive a further £8.46 million from United if Fernandes reaches what are considered easily achievable targets, and an additional £12.7 million, if more difficult targets are met.
It is understood the clauses include Fernandes winning the Ballon d’Or
