I’ll Work for Better Nigeria as Senate President, Yari Vows

One of the contestants for the office of the Senate President in the 10th Assembly, Abdulazeez Yari, has promised that he would work for a better Nigeria if he gets to the seat.

According to Yari, if he emerged as Senate President, he would also work with the executive to ensure that Nigerians get the dividend of democracy.

Politics Nigeria gathered that Yari spoke at a special victory dinner organised in honour of 109 senators-elect of the 10th assembly organized by the conference of All support groups (CASG-N) of Nigeria in collaboration with TSN, themed “Unity and reconciliation, setting the agenda for the 10th Assembly in Abuja yesterday, May 18.

Yari said, “We are committed to work in harmony for the betterment of Nigeria and by God’s grace we are going to work hand in hand not intended with the executive in oneness.

“I really appreciate the decision of this organization to provide support for me to become the 10th president of the Senate. This is our program and we believe all of you, you will give us support to achieve this for a better Nigeria.

“Let me say here that Nigeria is a wonderful country with wonderful people. We believe in Nigeria and we believe in the unity of Nigeria.

“Each of us, 109 senators were elected. You are in one commitment or the other and you attain a level of life and we strongly believe in all of us,” he said.
