Election Tribunal: Peter Obi Will Go to Court for 8 Years – Comedian Akpororo

Ace Nigerian comedian Bowoto Tanimola, popularly known as Akpororo, has passed a slight jibe at the Labour Party’s candidate in the February 25, presidential election, Peter Obi, who is currently in court over the election result.

During a recent performance, Akpororo asked his audience whether Peter Obi is still going to court.

The crowd cheering responded, “Yes.”

“He go still dey go court for eight years”, the comedian added.

His joke didn’t sit well with many, especially Peter Obi’s supporters, who took to social media platforms to lampoon the comedian after the video went viral on Tuesday, June 20.

Epiczone.ng recalls that Peter Obi and the Labour Party have filed suits challenging the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, who was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The case is still under cross-examination at the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC.
