Court Remands Singer Lil Frosh In Ikoyi Prison Till March 2021
Nigerian singer Sanni Wasiu, popularly known as Lil frosh, has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till 9 March 2021 over the alleged assault on his girlfriend, Gift Camille.
The up and coming rapper was invited by the police on Thursday, 4 February 2021, and has since remained in custody.
On Monday, 5 October 2020 Lil Frosh was accused of beating his girlfriend, Camille, on several occasions by the brother and manager of the victim.
Sequel to this revelation, superstar artist and record label owner Davido announced that Lil Frosh’s contract with DMW had been effectively terminated with immediate effect.
However, the rapper had on several occasions denied assaulting his girlfriend. Speaking on the Ionwannatalk podcast, Lil Frosh explained that she had a boil that plagued her for seven days. He further revealed that she had called him to explain that she had a boil, which he said could have been an allergy.
The rapper had spent at least three days in police custody since he was invited on Thursday, 4 February before being remanded on Tuesday, 9 February.
A suit against Lil Frosh was filed before the Lagos state Magistrate court in Yaba with the help of the International Association Of Women Lawyers, Lagos State branch.
At the hearing on Tuesday, 9 February the Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, adjourned the case till 9 March 2021 and ordered that he be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Center.
