‘I’m Still Here’ – Eedris Abdulkareem Reacts To Report Of His Arrest
Veteran Nigerian musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has reacted to reports circulating on social media that he was arrested for beating his landlord over unpaid N535,000 accumulated electricity bills.
Over the weekend, multiple reports have it that Abdulkareem was last week arrested for assaulting one Oladipo Abimbola over electricity bill on January 3, 2020, at Valley View Estate, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the reports, the ‘Jagajaga’ singer forced his way into his landlord’s compound to assault him for instructing officials of Ikeja Electricity Destribution (IKED) to disconnect his house.
According to the landlord, Eedris’ wife rented the apartment on behalf of her husband and so he didn’t know the singer was to be his tenant, the report further stated.
Also in the report, Abdul-Kareem denied attempting to assault the man. He alleged that his landlord had sexually harassed his wife in his absence and that all efforts to make him stop failed.
However, reacting to the reports, Abdulkareem took to the comment section of a popular Instagram blogger, Instablog, asking if he was arrested, would he have be commenting?
“Arrested and am still here replying,” he said.
