We’re Not Colluding With Ojudu Against Fayemi – Ekiti Assembly

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has debunked claims that it is colluding with Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, against Kayode Fayemi, the state governor.
Yemisi Ayokunle, Chairman of Ekiti House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, made the rebuttal in a statement issued on Sunday in reaction to claims by Ojudu.
Ojudu on a radio programme at Ikere-Ekiti reportedly claimed that some unnamed members of Ekiti State House of Assembly have been sending to him documents of wrongdoings by the Ekiti State Government under Governor Fayemi.
But Ayokunle debunked the presidential aide’s claim, insisting that the Five Pillars Agenda of the Fayemi government was enough to keep the lawmakers focused.
The statement read: “We, as a House and with all emphasis at our disposal, categorically state that there is no member of our respected Assembly that has any relationship with the ex-senator.
“This is a red herring from a persona that has been variously described as ‘anger and conspiracy’ in motion.
“We, therefore, advise Senator Ojudu to look elsewhere for his co-travellers in his trademark game of divide and rule. Everyone is too aware of his character to take him seriously.”
Ojudu and Governor Fayemi have been at loggerheads for some time, with the former questioning the latter about the supposedly lack of impact of his administration on Ekiti people.
The governor also claimed that the presidential aide allegedly planted a “fabricated story” indicating that he was denied access to meet President Muhammadu Buhari recently in order to spread falsehood and blackmail him over the current crisis the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
