Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar has described Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest player he ever played with.

Van Der Sar and Ronaldo were part of the squad that won the 2007/2008 Champions League for Manchester United.

The retired goalkeeper remembers his former teammate on his 36th birthday, saying, “Finally home after a tough couple of days at the office… I would like to send my birthday wishes to my friend and the greatest player I’ve ever played with: @Cristiano. 36 years old? Wow… Keep pushing, legend.”
