Transfer market: Chelsea have ruined football – Singer Adekule Gold declares

Popular Nigerian musician, Adekunle Kosoko, better known as Adekunle Gold, has reacted to the outrageous amounts Premier League side Chelsea are spending on acquiring new players this transfer window.

Epiczone.ng gathered that the London club had spent €323 million on transfers so far during the 2023 summer window.

Their latest acquisition, Moises Caicedo arrived from Brighton on a British-record transfer fee of €116m (£100m), which is likely to reach €133m (£115m) with achievable add-ons.

Reacting to the Blue’s spending via his Twitter handle, Adekunle Gold, a Premier League rivals Manchester United fan, said Chelsea were ruining the sport with their extravagant spending.

The singer wrote, “Man! Chelsea ruined the market this season! Where una see money?”
