‘This Is Blasphemous, Disrespectful’ – FFK Slams Toyin Lawani Over Racy Nun Outfit
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed celebrity fashion designer, Toyin Lawani, over the racy nun outfit she wore to the premiere of a movie over the weekend.
Filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan’s latest project, ‘Prophetess’ featuring movie star, Toyin Abraham was premiered on Saturday.
The stylist who was among the guests that showed up for premiere did not hold back on following ‘celestial theme‘ of the event as she donned a Catholic nun-inspired outfit. Her dress was similar to that worn by a nun — a woman devoted to religious life and living under a convent.
However, the Tiannah Empire CEO who is known for her daring and eccentric fashion scene, left jaws hanging as her nun outfit had a thigh-high opening on two sides at the front, leaving quite a lot of people angry.
In several photos shared on her Instagram page, the entrepreneur could be seen clad in the all-white attire with a sign of the cross inscribed on it.
However, she was widely criticised by many Nigerians who blasted her for mocking Christianity, with some daring her to try the same with Muslim outfit.
The photos left quite a number of people enraged as they found her outfit blasphemous to Christian.
In his reaction on Tuesday March 30, the former Minister described her outfit as anti-christ and ghetto rubbish.
He wrote;
Disrespectful, tasteless, tactless, shameless, bestial, blasphemous, heretical, disgusting, provocative, outrageous, anti-Christ and totally and completely unacceptable. This is not art: it is GHETTO RUBBISH!
He then added; “I forgot to add that it is also EVIL!”
The celebrity fashion stylist has come under heavy censure for her choice of outfit
