Sarkodie Apologises, Ends Three-year Feud With Yemi Alade
Michael Addo, a Ghanaian rapper better known as Sarkodie, has ended his three-year feud with Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade.
In 2017, Yemi Alade expressed her disappointment after revealing that the rapper ignored all advances from her management team for collaboration on so many occasions without tangible explanation.
The duo had collaborated for Alade’s song ‘Ego’ but the songstress accused the Ghanaian star of failing to show up for the music video shoot when she had her team reach out to him.
“I can count three different venues where my team and I had an agreement with Sarkodie in particular and he didn’t come through,” she had said while speaking on the issue.
“I don’t want to bring in the feminine and masculine inequality we’re experiencing in the industry and I don’t want to link it to that.
“I was pained as a person but I’ll say it is almost impossible to promote a project that is supposed to be for two people when the other party isn’t coming through at all.”
Sarkodie, however, took to his Twitter page in apology, after realizing that the songstress had unfollowed him.
“Ou, just realized queen unfollowed me. SarkNation, tell my sis to follow me back. I’m sorry. No need for no explanations. It’s 2020 link up. Always proud of you,” Sarkodie wrote on Thursday.
