Oyedepo Has Contributed Nothing To Nigeria, APC Fires Back
The All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday, attacked David Oyedepo, presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, for prophesying that President Muhammadu Buhari’s days are numbered.
Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, asked Oyedepo to examine his own head, saying the cleric has not contributed anything to Nigeria.
Recall that Oyedepo during Sunday service over the weekend at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, said Buhari’s government is the worst in the history of Nigeria, and a curse to the nation.
The fiery preacher stated that Buhari’s days are numbered, because the current government has no direction for the country.
But reacting to the comments, Nabena maintained that Oyedepo has no right to make such remarks.
“What has he contributed to Nigeria, Oyedepo has no right to crucify or tell anybody that their time has come to an end.
“He has no right, he should examine his own head what has he given back to the community. Despite the billions of naira and dollars, Nigerians have contributed through offerings to him what has he given back to the community?
“What has he contributed to the country? So he is not in a position to tell Nigerians what to do because they voted for Buhari so he has no right,” he said.
Oyedepo’s ministry reportedly has estimated 30,000 Nigerians working in its establishments.
He runs two universities, including Covenant University, rated as the best in Nigeria, West Africa, and fourth best in Africa.
Landmark University, the church’s second university, is the highest scholarship grant private university in the country.
