Olamide Pays Homage To Mo’hits Crew, Don Jazzy & DBanj
In what has been described by many as a good move, one of Nigeria’s leading hip hop artiste and owner of YBNL record, Olamide, popularly called Badoo, has come out to acknowledge the role Mo’hits records played in motivating other young artistes to reach for the stars.
In a recent tweet, Olamide said the Mo’hits crew founded by ace music producer Don Jazzy and co-owned with his singing partner D’banj taught artistes how to carry each other along in the journey of success.
“Mo hits still one of the best thing to ever happen to NIGmusic industry. Gave us good music, thought (taught) us how to carry our brothers along. Even if they never come back together, still I say thanks to Jazzy n banga n rest of the team for motivating us”, he tweeted.
In a quick reaction to the tweet, the former CEO of Mo’hits records, Don Jazzy, tweeted back, thanking Olamide.
“Coming from somebody I respect a lot in this industry, this means a lot to me. In short, I go frame the tweet sef. Thanks Badoo. More blessings”
It is not exactly clear at what point the duo, Don Jazzy and Olamide, buried the hatchet following a twitter war occasioned by the displeasure of losing the Next Rated artiste award by Lil Kesh, an artiste on Olamide’s YBNL label to Reekado Banks, an artiste on Jazzy’s Mavin records at the 2016 Headies awards.
Not only did Olamide register his displeasure in a stage rant at the event, he also took the fight to Twitter. All that appears to be in the past now.
