No Rift With Governor Makinde – Deputy
Oyo Deputy Governor Raufu Olaniyan has denied saying he will never end his rift with Governor Seyi Makinde.
He said there was no rift with the Governor, saying even if there was, as a true Muslim, he would seek for resolution and not take a stand contrary to common sense.
Olaniyan described an online report titled “Governor Makinde’s Deputy, Olaniyan has vowed never to end rift with his boss” as not only baseless but a figment of the author’s imagination.
A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Omolere Omoetan, noted he has a mandate to work with the Governor to serve the people of Oyo as the Deputy Governor.
He said he was totally committed to doing so and would not be distracted by reports emanating from shady sources and mischief makers.
Olaniyan urged the people to disregard the statement attributed to him by the phantom source quoted in the report.
He stressed for the avoidance doubt, he would continue to work assiduously with Makinde to provide good governance to the people in line with Governor’s ideals and vision.
He however advised the forces working to cause disaffection between him and the Governor to look for better things to do as their machinations and conspiracies had failed on arrival.
