Mohammed Umar Emerges Acting EFCC Chairman
Mohammed Umar, Director of Operations at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been named acting chairman of the agency.
NAN quoted a top official of the commission to have confirmed the appointment.
Magu, who occupied the position before Umar, was arrested on Monday and grilled by a presidential panel chaired by Ayo Salami, a retired president of the appeal court.
Magu was accused of misconduct in a memo by Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), to President Muhammadu Buhari.
