Microsoft To Retire Internet Explorer In 2022
Microsoft is set to retire its internet explorer web browser come June 2022.
CNN reports that Microsoft made the decision to do away with the web browser due to steady decline in usage over the years.
The Internet Explorer debuted back in 1995 and once revolutionized the web browsing experience, but couldn’t keep up with the competition over the years.
Statistics show that the internet Explorer currently has just 5% of web browser usage—compared to Google’s Chrome, which leads the market with 69% of browser usage among consumers.
On June. 15, 2022, the once dominant Internet Explorer finally will cease operations
Additionally, Microsoft’s 365 apps, including Microsoft Office, will no longer be available within the next few months.
