Man Commits Suicide Over False Rape Accusation

#JusticeForIzu is currently trending on Twitter, after a user named Legend Izu Madubueze took his life, following accusation of rape by an influencer named Nanichi Anese.
Anese had reportedly published his name and other men accused of rape.
It was learnt that Izu reached out to Anese, a lady, to know who he raped, but she did not provide a reasonable answer.
According to reports, Anese claimed the accuser wanted to remain anonymous.
She later said the alleged victim claimed it was a “non physical sexual assault.”
It was gathered that Izu made efforts to clear his name, but his accuser was not cooperative.
He left a note apologizing, though he stated that he does not know what he did or who he hurt that led to being accused of rape.
His last tweet on Friday, July 17, 2020, reads: “Oh and if you’re reading this, I’m dead lol.”
Reports say Nanichi has deactivated her account after his suicide was made public.
