Premier League giants, Liverpool, have reportedly opened talks with representatives of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, over the possibility of joining the Reds in the summer.
French media outlet, Le 10 Sport, claims that the current European champions have started talks with the player’s representatives.
“According to our information, discussions have recently opened between Liverpool and representatives of Victor Osimhen with the objective of laying the foundations for a first contractual proposal if the Reds ever send a transfer offer to LOSC (Lille).
“Liverpool are thus taking a position on a file which has already changed considerably in recent months,” it said.
The Lille hitman has been a target for many European clubs after his impressive performance for the Ligue 1 club this season.
Osimhen is also being linked with Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Osimhen joined the French outfit from Sporting Charleroi for €12 million in August 2019, and still has another four-and-a-half-year left on his contract.
The Nigerian international has scored 13 goals from 27 league matches in the season that has just been cancelled.
