Lagos Man Commits Suicide In Mother’s Presence

Aboh Ogbeche, 32, has committed suicide in his mother’s presence in the Lawanson area of Surulere, Lagos.
Aboh was said to have poured bleach in a cup, sat before his mother and started convulsing immediately he drank the liquid. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased did not leave behind a suicide note or told any of his friends about his plan to commit suicide.
A source told The Punch that Aboh took his own life around 3:30pm on Friday. It added that he was pronounced dead at Aishat Hospital, Idi Araba, and his body deposited at the mortuary in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
A resident said the Cross River indigene’s mum has been shocked because the incident played out in her presence.
Bala Elkana, the Police Public Relations Officer, told the paper that he has not been briefed on the matter.
