Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea return
Jose Mourinho, former manager of Chelsea, reportedly contacted the club to express interest in a third managerial stint at Stamford Bridge but was met with a firm stance about Graham Potter’s future.
The Portuguese head coach is, without a doubt, Chelsea’s all-time best manager, and he considers himself the best in the club’s history.
Reports in the Daily Mail claim that Mourinho is frustrated with Roma’s lack of financial support and is looking forward to returning to England for the upcoming season.
At Stamford Bridge, Mourinho won the Premier League three times during his two stints as manager.
He won three championships total, including two in a row and an incredible third after returning to the club for a second time.
Both times, though, he was fired by the previous owner Roman Abramovich, and it appeared that his love affair with Chelsea was finished when he moved on to coach rival teams, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho’s family is still based in London, and he has always prioritised Premier League jobs.
