I Was Told Buhari Understands Only Cartoons – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he was told President Muhammadu Buhari does not read and when he does, he cannot go beyond two lines.
The former minister, in an open letter to Buhari, claimed the source told him the President only understands cartoons.
Fani-Kayode however said he does share the view as be believes Buhari can read with presence of mind if he finds the subject interesting.
“Mr. President, many believe that you cannot read and those that believe that you can claim that you cannot go beyond three lines. They say outside of that you can only comprehend cartoons.
“I do not share either view. I know you well enough to concede that when you consider a literary submission of sufficient importance you have the presence of mind, discipline, health, intelligence and ability to read through it very slowly and very carefully weighing up every word. And that is precisely as it should be,” he said.
