Fulani Kidnappers Burnt My House, Igboho Alleges
Sunday Adeyemo, a Yoruba nationalist popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has alleged that Fulani kidnappers and bandits set his former residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, ablaze.
Igboho, who is the Akoni Oodua of Yoruba land, made the claim in a post on Twitter on Tuesday in reaction to the fire outbreak that occurred at the apartment, located in Soka, Ibadan, around 3am.
According to the Yoruba rights activist, the alleged perpetrators of the arson will soon be found and brought to book.

The cause of the inferno was not known as of the time of filing this report.
It is, however, unknown if the incident was in any way connected to the recent activities of Igboho.
Youths said to be supporters of Igboho, who is the Akoni Oodua of Yoruba land, had reportedly attacked communities occupied by the Fulanis in Iganga, situated in Ibarapa North LGA last Friday, killing three people and setting ablaze properties in the process, including the house of Salihu Abdukadir, the Seriki Fulani of Oyo.
The youths were allegedly executing Igboho’s order to evict all persons of Fulani extraction away from the community after a seven-day ultimatum, which expired last Friday.
The Yoruba nationalist has accused herdsmen of perpetrating crimes ranging from kidnappings, killings, rape to invasion of farmlands with their cattle in the South-West region.
The action led to various northern groups, including Miyetti Allah and the Arewa Consultative Forum, calling for those who perpetrated the act to be held accountable and warning that retaliatory attacks could be launched by the Fulani if concrete decisions are not made by both the Federal and state governments.
Igboho, however, distanced himself from the incident, saying aggrieved youths and residents of the town were responsible for the incident.
