Even FBI Doesn’t Scare Me – Igboho Tells Buhari, Makinde
Sunday Adeyemo, a Yoruba activist popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has dared President Muhammadu and Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State, to issue orders to arrest him, saying he is not afraid even if the US-based Federal Bureau of Intelligence (FBI) is contacted to arrest him.
Igboho said this in a post on Twitter on Saturday in reaction to reports that the Presidency and the Oyo State Governor had issued directives ordering his arrest.
Following the violence that erupted after some youths reportedly attacked communities occupied by the Fulanis in Iganga, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday, Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, told the BBC Hausa Service on Friday that Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, had directed the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho.
Similarly, Governor had while receiving Onadeko at the Government House, Ibadan, the state capital, earlier in the day, directed the police authorities to arrest “people stoking ethnic tension” in the state.
But Igboho vowed that he will fight till his last blood until all Fulanis are evicted from the South-West region.
Three persons were said to have been killed after youths said to be supporters of Igboho descended on Iganga to reportedly execute his order in evicting all persons of Fulani extraction out of the community.
