Portuguese footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has ruled out any possibility of leaving his club Al-Nassr this summer.

The legendary goal scorer has decided to sign a new contract with the Saudi Pro League club and will not play at the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

Ronaldo just finished his third season in the Saudi Pro League.

The 40-year-old ended up as the Saudi Pro League’s highest goalscorer for the second consecutive season.

But his club finished in third position in the Saudi Pro League following a difficult campaign.

Al-Nassr also failed to secure qualification for the AFC Champions League.

After Al-Nassr’s 3-2 away defeat against Al-Fateh in their last game of the 2024/25 season, Ronaldo indicated on X that he would be leaving the club as he tweeted: “This chapter is over.”

As a result, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was linked with a move to several clubs, including Al-Hilal, who are due to play Real Madrid in their first group game at the Club World Cup on June 18.

And according to FootMercato, Al-Nassr have now finally reached an agreement to extend Ronaldo’s contract at the club beyond this summer.

The report added that a deal has already been signed, and the former Juventus attacker is expected to remain with the Knights of Najd for another two seasons.
