Champions League: Why Barcelona Lost 4-1 To PSG – Koeman
Barcelona manager, Ronald Koeman has said Paris St Germain played better than his side in the Second half which was why they lost the first leg of their Champions League encounter on Tuesday.
The Round of 16 first leg game was played at the Nou Camp in Spain with Messi opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
The night was, however, PSG and Kylian Mbappe’s night a the French man netted a hat-trick to end the game 4-1.
“In the 2nd half they were better than us and were very efficient, especially Mbappé. Physically they were superior…,” he told a post match press conference.
“We have to accept they were better, they showed they’re a more complete team than us… Losing 4-1 at home there aren’t many chances [to turn it around].
“We are on the path to changing things, and today’s game showed we still need to change a lot more, to compete in the Champions League.”
