Carabao Cup: City Drawn Against United, Leicester Face Villa In Semis
The Manchester rivalry has again been renewed, after City were drawn against United in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Leicester City, who are second in the Premier League table, will face strugglers, Aston Villa, in the other last four encounter.
United and City overcame their quarter-final opponents respectively, with the Cityzens recording a 3-1 win over Oxford Football Club away, while the Red Devils got a comfortable 3-0 victory at Old Trafford against giant-killers, Colchester.
However, Leicester needed two saves from goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, to see off Everton 4-2 on penalties at the Goodison Park, after playing 2-2 in regulation time.
Villa, who have lost form of late, had earlier recorded a 5-0 bashing over a second-string Liverpool side on Tuesday, with the first team playing in Qatar at the FIFA Club World Cup.
