Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Gambari Officially Hands Over to Gbajabiamila [PHOTOS]
The chief of staff to the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Gambari, has officially handed over to his successor, Femi Gbajabiamila, the outgoing speaker of the 9th House of Representatives.
The handing over happened at the presidential villa, Abuja and was witnessed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Epiczone.ng recalls that Tinubu appointed Gbajabiamila as his chief of staff on Friday, June 2.
In a tweet thanking the president, Gbajabiamila said he would assume office on January 14, adding that he would give his best when he takes office.
Gbajabiamila, who has spent 20 years in the lower chamber, was re-elected to represent Surulere 1 federal constituency, in the general election.
He was first elected to the house of representatives in 2003 and had won five straight elections before now.
The speaker had previously served as minority whip, minority leader and majority leader before being elected as the speaker in 2019.
