Buhari Wishes Onyeama Speedy Recovery From COVID-19

President Muhammadu Buhari has wished Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, a speedy recovery after testing positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
This was contained in a statement issued by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Sunday.
The president described the minister as a strong pillar of his administration and commended him for his efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, as well as ensuring the safety of Nigerians abroad as a member of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
The statement read: “The country is eternally grateful to Geoffrey Onyeama for his diligence in attracting international support for Nigeria to defeat the coronavirus pandemic and boost the economy. I wish him speedy recovery.”
Onyeama had announced via his Twitter handle on Sunday that he contracted COVID-19.
The minister also disclosed that he was heading to an isolation centre for treatment.
