Bauchi Governor Hospitalized In London
Bala Muhammed, Governor of Bauchi State, has been admitted in a London hospital for an undisclosed illness.
A statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, made available to journalists on Sunday in Bauchi, the state capital, quoted a special message sent to the people of the state by the governor from his hospital bed in London, ahead of the Supreme Court hearing of the appeal against his election, Daily Trust reports.
However, the hearing of the appeals brought against Muhammed and other five state governors by aggrieved candidates in the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial election, suffered setbacks, including an over-crowded courtroom, as well as a member of the panel falling ill.
Justice Ibrahim Mohammed, who made the announcement, said the hearing will continue on Tuesday, January 14.
