Arturo Vidal Storms Out Of Barcelona Training In Anger
Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal, reportedly left the club’s training on Wednesday, after he learnt that he would be starting the El Clasico from the bench.
According to ESPN, Vidal stormed off practice when he realised he would stay on the bench again.
The report said Vidal, 32, usually stays on after training for shooting practice with a number of other first-team players, but left early when coach Ernesto Valverde revealed he would be on the bench for the game.
Some of his teammates were said to have tried to convince the Chilean international to stay, but to no avail.
Vidal appears to have reached his boiling point, and is upset at his lack of playing time at the club, which he has not been quiet about.
He has clamoured for more game time since arriving from Bayern Munich, and he went as far as saying he would look for a move next summer, if his situation did not improve.
The game between the Catalan side and their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, at Camp Nou ended in a goalless draw; first of such result in 17 years.
