Ikeja Electric To Customers: Lockdown Is Over, We’ve Resumed Disconnection
The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) has warned defaulting customers that disconnection has resumed as the lockdown gradually eases in Lagos.
In a statement signed by the management, the company said it had been understanding enough to suspend disconnection during the lockdown, focusing more on steady supply.
“However as we begin partial lockdown, we use this medium to inform our customers of the need to start paying bills to avoid power cuts as we have also lifted the suspension of disconnection activities.
“This request is necessitated by the need to meet our obligations to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), as paying your bills will enable us meet our financial obligationto the market operators and this will ensure that the country continues to generate power supply,” the statement read in part.
