Danny Rose Involved In Training Ground Bust-up With Mourinho
Tottenham Hotspur defender, Danny Rose, was involved in a heated exchange with manager, Jose Mourinho, after he was left out of Saturday’s game against Watford.
Rose, 29, was said to have sought an explanation from Mourinho, after his team had been announced on Friday.
However, it was stated that the Portuguese manager believed that a back injury meant Rose was not fit to play in the game that ended 0-0 at Vicarage Road.
However, angry and believing he was fit to play, Rose took issue with Mourinho again during Sunday’s warm-down training session.
The Englishman had also been left out in a FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough in the mid-week.
The two clashed with voices raised and onlookers described the incident as “a big tension in the air”, Daily Mail reports.
Some of his colleagues were reportedly unhappy at how Rose’s reaction and behaviour had escalated the situation.
The left-back, who was linked with a move to Watford last summer, reported for training on Monday morning, and participated in warmed-up with his team-mates.
However, the former Manchester United manager, settled with the player, as he decided to take him aside in a one-to-one session.
Mourinho has stated that Rose is part of his plans at the club.
