How Senior Church Workers Stole Billions Of Naira – Oyedepo
David Oyedepo, Founder and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, has revealed how senior church workers stole billions of Naira from the ministry.
Oyedepo, speaking at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, the church’s international headquarters, during the first workers’ training of the year, transmitted around the world on Saturday, disclosed that the Church Internal Auditor, Financial Controller and Executive Secretary, orchestrated huge fraud that could have affected the church financially.
According to him, the staff were being hailed as a hardworking team until they were busted.
He said: ” Imagine individuals like the chief internal auditor, financial controller and executive Secretary perpetrating such fraud in the church?
“We were all commending them before they were found. ‘Oh these guys are very hardworking’. They are a wonderful team. They were rogues. Don’t let any human commendation confuse you.
“When God commends, he changes peoples position. If your position is not changing, check your faithfulness.
“That was the most deceptive team we have ever had in our ministry. All of the people who should discover such incident were involved in it. All of them.
“One of them resisted to tell the truth till the end and he was crying. We had to dismiss them for the church to move forward.
He, however, advice employers to run background checks on prospective employees.
“These accountants can find themselves anywhere and unfounded church people can just hire them and not knowing they hired rogues.
“The moment these things are not done, people fall victims of them. Any sympathy with an evil doer makes you a partaker.
“As I was preparing for this meeting days ago,I said to myself ‘these accountants can find themselves in businesses of some individuals, even outside here and they will hire them innocently’.
“One of them will say ‘I served as CIA of so so place’.”
Oyedepo concluded by saying “beware of anyone carrying a curse from God, so it doesn’t rob off on you.”
