Eid ul Adha: Osun Reps Member Extends Warm Greetings To Muslims
As the Muslim community worldwide celebrates the auspicious occasion of Sallah, lawmaker representing Odo-Otin/Ifelodun/Boripe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Olusoji Adetunji has extended his heartfelt greetings to Muslims across the globe.
Rep Soji Adetunji who emphasized the importance of this festival in fostering peace and understanding among the people, also hailed the spirit of sacrifice exhibited by Muslims during Sallah, which serves as a reminder of the principles of selflessness and compassion.
In his message, Rep Adetunji said, “on this joyous occasion of Sallah, I extend my warmest greetings to Muslim faithful around the world. May this festival bring immense happiness, peace, and blessings to your lives. Let us use this opportunity to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and promote love, respect, and understanding among one another.
“Eid al-Adha, is a significant festival in the Islamic calendar that marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. It is a time for everyone to come together in gratitude, reflection, and celebration.
“As we celebrate Sallah, let us also remember those who are less fortunate and in need. Let us extend our hands of generosity and support to those who are struggling, reaffirming our commitment to the values of compassion and empathy,” he added.
The Federal lawmaker further expressed his hope for a future where all Nigerians, regardless of their religious background, can live harmoniously, respecting each other’s beliefs and practices. He however called upon Muslims to continue observing precautionary security measures while celebrating with their families and communities.
